Administrator Warehouse & Logistics
Overview of Position:
- Ensure the accuracy of shipping documentation and timely delivery of materials.
- Ensures that all materials are received daily in ERP and located in their Rack/Shelf assigning an specific location
- Carries out consistent physical inventory control and quality control of incoming materials.
- Maintain security for all stored materials, parts, and equipments, ensuring that they are protected from weather conditions, dust, rust, heat, etc.
- Supports the monitoring of inventory availability and reliability.
- Prepares packages for shipment consistently- assuring the quality control for outgoing materials
- Monitors inventory levels and stock replacement for critical/strategic items and reports shortages and overages to Warehouse Manager.
- Promotes the optimization of working capital in inventories.
- Requests item status modifications in ERP to keep inventory accurate at all times.
- Identifies and disposes of obsolete inventory items following the company policy.
- Supports purchasing personnel on identifying material and supplier reliability.
- Maintains warehouse area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Performs other administrative duties associated to Warehouse/Logistics.
- Hands on.
- Understands and follows the procedures and practices established by Speedcast Guidelines.
What we need from you:
- Knowledge of part numbers and specifications.
- Excellent PC Skills – Microsoft Office Suite especially in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision)
- Knowledge of the telecommunication production process and its terminology.
- Knowledge of materials management principles, Inventory management models, and stock replacement.
- Ability to distinguish between general and specific replacement parts and to apply Supply Chain Management concepts
- Ability to take personal initiative.
- Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to research the required information to Identify materials and parts descriptions in the ERP system
- Understand internal customer requirements.
- Willingness to take personal initiative and seek best practices.
- Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
- Team player – works well with others and is able to collaborate across functions.
- Ability to maintain a customer mindset
- Detail oriented , ethical, and maintains high compliance with institutional policies
- Diploma preferably in Logistics & Warehouse management
- 5-7 years experience
- Excellent PC Skills – Microsoft Office Suite especially in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision)
- Experience support Energy Markets preferred
- Experience with SOX compliance
