Testing Mechanics Corporation has been performing environmental and occupational testing services for utilities, industrial properties, financial institutions, commercial properties, hospitals, schools, transportation facilities, and private residences since 1989. We have performed a wide variety of environmental and occupational testing services as well as inspection, construction management and remedial design.

Testing Mechanics Corporation is seeking a NYS Licensed Asbestos Project Monitor /Air Sampling Technician. This position will require the Technician to travel to various jobsites in New York City and Long Island. The Technician will also be required to have a valid drivers license and a reliable means of transportation.

Qualifications

•Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and good driving record required

•Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to TMC’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

•High school graduate

•0-2 years relevant work experience

•Good oral and written communication skills

•Willingness to work multiple shifts and varying hours, including nights and weekends

Responsibilities

•To act as the company's asbestos technician representative during asbestos abatements in designated work spaces in various industry sectors.

•Follow instruction from Project Managers and senior project monitors

•Monitor final air clearance after asbestos abatements in compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws.

•Collect PCM and TEM air samples and properly record chain of custodies, daily logs, and maintain involvement in project oversight and result reporting in fulfillment with assessment and monitoring requirements of asbestos abatements in compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws

•Assist on other projects including vibration monitoring, inspections and other various projects

•Position entails travel throughout New York City and Long Island
