Physical Requirements:
The Cafeteria Staff at Cook Spencer is responsible for food preparation, stocking, providing customer service and maintaining cleanliness of cafeteria.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare menu items such as hot foods, lunch meats and cheeses, vegetables and other items for salad bar
- Set-up salad bar and maintain during meals.
- Assist with changeover from breakfast to lunch.
- Stock items in stock room, reach-in coolers, break rooms and dining room drink stations
- Operate cash register during meals
- Serve items from hot bar during meals.
- Responds promptly to provide polite, courteous service to customers.
- Clean stock room, kitchen and dining areas as directed by supervisor.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Communicate with Supervisor and other cafeteria personnel to achieve a productive team effort
- Maintain high standard of cleanliness
- Minimum 18 years of age
Physical Requirements:
- Moderate exposure to noise level in the work environment that is moderate to occasionally loud
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent repetitive motion
- Attention to detail
- Able to stand for extended periods during the shift
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to grasp, carry, feel or touch; reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch; communicate
- Personal Protective Equipment as required within Food Service Areas
