Job Summary: RN Instructor for Nursing Assistant training classes at Job Corps.

The Career Technical Training instructors' responsibilities include all aspects of instruction and RN oversight of the learning experience of the CNA program.

Duties: Works towards meeting performance management goals established by the company and the National Director of Job Corps via OMS and CTT Report Cards.

• Work closely with the designated Center Safety Officer, the CTT Manager, and the Wellness Manager on all matters concerning the health and safety of students.
• Remain current and knowledgeable regarding available industry certifications, prerequisites, and examination requirements for Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Provide instruction and remedial training support that will enable students to overcome barriers in obtaining industry certifications or participating in Advanced Training (AT) or Advanced Career Training (ACT).
• Provide contextual learning opportunities for students to improve academic skills in the CTT learning environment.
• Collaborate in developing lessons, activities, and other instructional supports to ensure that industry certification requirements are addressed in the academic and career technical settings.
• Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of certified nursing assistant skills, safety, and health requirements.

Qualifications: RN in the State of Texas, a minimum of two years of nursing experience, with at least one year of providing long term care services in a full care- certified nursing home facility,(intermediate long term care does not qualify) have completed a course that focused on teaching adult students or experience in teaching adult students or experience supervising nurse aides.

Pay: $59,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
