Behavioral Health Services (BHS) is a non-for-profit, community-based health care organization, whose mission is to transform lives by providing substance abuse, mental health, drug-free transitional living, family preservation, prevention and Family Health Center and other related health services to the residents of Southern California. POSITION: Case Manager III (Full Time Regular)

SHIFT: Monday – Friday

LOCATION: BHS ICS – Gardena, CA

DUTIES: The Case Manager III fulfills assigned role as a part of the treatment team, maintaining the well-being of clients and integrity of the program. Mental Health Case Manager assist client with accessing resources and support. To gain, restore, improve or maintain independent living,

QUALIFICATIONS: Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Completion of a state-recognized chemical dependency counselor certification.Required current certification number issued from a statewide or nationwide credentialing body (i.e. CCAPP, CAADE) received upon completion of passing the California Certification examor a master’s degree in related field, MFT or MSW licensed waivered. Five years’ experience work experience. Failure to maintain certification or licensure will result in loss of employment.

Must have valid California Class “C” driver’s license and liability insurance if driving personal vehicle on BHS business. Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and eye -hand coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties. Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff. First Aid and CPR certifications, obtain within 90 days of employment and maintain current thereafter.

Recovering individuals must have a minimum two years clean, sober and abstinent to be considered for employment.
