Millwright's Restaurant is currently seeking a Catering Sales Manager to join our award winning team.

Catering Manager Responsibilities:

• Determining customer requirements and proposing catering options.
• Negotiating prices and preparing meticulous catering order forms.
• Planning menus and overseeing venue, equipment, food, and service preparations.
• Hiring, training, and supervising catering staff, as well as scheduling employee shifts.
• Liaising with customers, sales staff, chefs, and specialized catering equipment providers.
• Monitoring the availability of catering stock and supplies and ordering replenishments.
• Researching catering trends and promoting competitive catering services.

Catering Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality and culinary arts or business management would be advantageous but not required.
• 2 years of experience in catering management, or similar.
• Knowledge of electronic catering management systems, such as Tripleseat, Toast etc. we are willing to teach systems.
• Exceptional ability to deliver catering services within budget and on time.
• Experience in hiring, training, and overseeing catering staff.
• Ability to coordinate catering requirements with customers, chefs, and suppliers.
• The ability to apply industry knowledge to improve catering services.
• Advanced knowledge of best practices in catering management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be flexible and understand that demands of your job will change often, you will not be bored.
• Should be a creative thinker
• Must be a good human

Tanda Hospitality currently operates the following:

Millwright’s Restaurant in Simsbury, Ct.- food inspired by the products of New England and comfortable refined service. We have a casual tavern, a more refined dining room, serene outdoor dining area and a private dining room that seats up to 45. Millwright’s was awarded 2022 Ct Restaurant Association best overall restaurant and has been nominated for seven James Beard awards amongst many other honors.

The Goodwin Hotel Food and Beverage- we manage all aspects of food and beverage at the Goodwin Hotel in Hartford, Ct. approx 8,000 sq ft of meeting space, Bar Pina a hip cocktail bar, Terreno Restaurant an award winning Cal-Italian spot.

Ta-Que- a food truck that doesn’t really move. It’s seasonal and we set it up for long stretches in the same place, you wont have to manage a food truck. We are currently working on a brick and mortar location for this concept.

Tyler Anderson Catering- a boutique, low volume catering company that specializes in all custom events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
