Total Employment And Management is seeking an experienced CDL driver for a garbage collection service in Pasco/Franklin County. This is a temp to hire position

Department: Operations

Shift: Monday – Friday. With occasional weekends

Job Type: Driver Residential

Trucking Route: Local

Rest Periods Per Shift: 30 minute lunch; two 15-minute breaks

Schedule: Shifts often start at 4am, 5:30am, 6am, 9am, 1pm and they end when their routes are finished. Exact schedule determined at time of hire

Salary: $24.66 - $28.55

Job Duties:

§ Continuously meet driver expectations and requirements, i.e., pre/post trip, fuel and wash truck, DVIR, Customer Tags, radio usage, COVID procedures, and secure load.

§ Operate trucks and equipment in accordance with company procedures and standards.

§ Comply with all safety standards and requirements.

§ Report any safety standards and requirements.

§ Maintain all CDL driver qualifications and valid driver’s licenses.

§ Follow oral and/ or written instructions.

§ Assist in mapping routes and use route books to ensure consistency and timeliness while traveling from site to site.

§ Observe legal and defensive driving practices.

Physical Demands:

§ Working outdoors on a year-round basis and subject to extreme weather conditions.

§ The position involves working outdoors on a year-round basis and is subject to extreme weather conditions.

§ May be exposed to waste, including blood-borne pathogens, insects, animals, and other exterior hazards.

§ The noise level is moderate to loud.

§ Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach with arms and hands at or above shoulders, kneel and stretch, and ability to climb into or exit a truck and/or other equipment.

§ Lift, push, carry, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 65 lbs. on a routine basis and up to 90 lbs. as needed using proper lifting techniques.

§ Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to include repetitive grasping and reaching.

Experience/ Qualifications:

§ Valid CDL A or B

§ Minimum three years of driving experience

§ Clear MVR driving record.

§ Ability to successfully pass a background check, drug screen, reference check, and insurance driver eligibility.

§ Valid medical card

Education preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
