Cellar Worker – Full Time

A premier winery estate owned by NASCAR team owner and Hall of Fame member Richard Childress, located in Lexington, NC is seeking a winery cellar worker. The winery opened in 2004 and produces over 30 wines, hosts a multitude of services and events, operates a full-service restaurant, and participates in distributing wines in five states. This position will work directly with the winemaker and winemaking/production department.

Applicants should be detail-oriented, dependable, used to hard work and fun. Good communication skills and the willingness to perform physically demanding tasks for long hours are also required. We will consider motivated applicants with little or no experience and training. Duties will include:

• Working the bottling line and stacking pallets
• Working flexible hours; especially during harvest
• Working in an indoor and outdoor environment
• Lifting 50 lbs., occasionally up to 75 lbs. with assistance
• Standing on feet for extended periods of time

This position offers great opportunity to work closely with the winemaking team and gain experience in all aspects of high-quality winemaking. Our ideal candidate can work well alone and as a positive team member. He and/or she must be willing to work flexible (and sometimes lengthy) hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends during harvest (August through October). Applicants must have good conversational English skills.

Must be at least 21 years of age. Salary will depend on previous experience. A background check and drug screening will be required prior to employment.
