Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, GA is seeking to hire a full-time Chef de Cuisine to join our kitchen staff in managing our line cooks and preparing delicious food for our loyal members. We offer a competitive wage of $75,000 - $80,000 a year based on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CHEF DE CUISINE

As a Chef de Cuisine in the kitchen of Cherokee Town and Country Club, you are the heart of our Terrace-level restaurant. You are passionate about good food and exceeding our members' expectations. Each shift, you will oversee Sous Chefs and other employees in the kitchen; directing the cooking of the member orders and ensuring the quality of food prepared before it goes out. In addition, you are responsible for the hiring, training, and onboarding of new kitchen employees. Some administrative tasks include creating specials, inventory, scheduling, and payroll.

You love the camaraderie of working as part of a cohesive culinary team in a tightly-run kitchen. You enjoy managing the kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment where you are never bored and time goes by quickly.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years experience with 1 year at the Sous Chef level
  • Graduate of Culinary School or apprenticeship program
  • Able to certify as Certified Sous Chef


Do you work well as part of a team? Do you have excellent customer service skills and a love for hospitality? Can you understand and communicate in English?
