Overview

The Personal Lines Claims Advocate acts as the liaison between our organization, our carriers, and our clients for personal lines claims. This is a client facing role that requires a solid understanding of customer service, with a strong emphasis on empathy, patience, and de-escalation. This position works directly with Producers and Account Managers to oversee the claims process from intake to completion, providing the teams and the clients with updates and feedback as needed.

Responsibilities

· Works directly with the Personal Lines team during the claims intake process.

· Manages the claims activity.

· Generates and maintains a spreadsheet of carriers, their claims process, and their key claims personnel.

· Proactively reaches out to the insurance companies for updates and reports on ongoing and completed claims.

· Provides regular updates to the teams regarding the status of claims.

· Interacts directly with the clients to provide them with updates and status changes on their claims

· When clients are frustrated or concerned, talks the client through the process, providing good counsel without committing the carrier or agency to undue responsibility.

Skills and Qualifications

· Good decision-making skills and response to high-pressure situations

· Excellent interpersonal communication (written and verbal) and organizing skills

· Ability to stay organized, and keep detailed notes

· Licensed Insurance Agent

· Insurance Industry experience a plus

· Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Applied Products and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Knowledge of Applied Epic is a plus

· Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment

· Be able to multi-task and to meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
