Directs and controls the work of the TPA ClaimsExaminers. Establishes unit goals for service, productionand work quality.

• Focuses on the staff to deliver an exceptional customerservice experience.

• Assigns and monitors claims to unit members.

• Supervises all aspects of claim investigation and damagehandling.

• Interprets expert reports when making a final determinationas to proximate cause, negligence and damages.

• Interprets whether a specific policy provides coverage or ifan exclusion / partial exclusion would apply.

• Review and update Coverage Review Memos for submissionto client.

• Review and update moderate to severe Bodily InjuryEvaluation and Case Summary

• Monitor and manage claims referred to client’s SpecialInvestigation Unit (SIU).

• Review and approve settlement authority requests andpayments that exceed staff authority levels

• Reviews active and closed files in compliance with QualityAssurance program to identify trends, provide direction, and provide feedback to unit.

• Evaluate performance of team members and conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews and objective setting.

• Conducts training on a group and individual basis on allaspects of the job.

• Holds an Adjuster License in the following states – CA, NV, AZ, WA, UT, AK, TX, OR and FL or able to obtain same within a reasonable period

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from an accredited four yearcollege or university; OR five (5+) plus years supervisory experience

• Strong organizational, verbal, and written skills

• Strong background in Commercial Auto and Transportationlines

• The ability to function professionally in high volume and/oradversarial situations.

• Competence in using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlookand the ability to learn new IT applications such as carrieror TPA systems. ClaimCenter/Guidewire and Image Right system experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51,755.05 - $110,000.00 per year
