ABOUT THE COMMERCIAL INSURANCE CSR JOB

We are a small, family owned and operated insurance agency who are looking for a Commercial Insurance CSR to join our current team of two Commercial Insurance CSRs. This person would work alongside these folks along with our commercial sales team. We are primarily a generalist regarding our client book however we do write a fair share of construction, retail, restaurant, and professional type risks. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Commercial Insurance CSR to join our dynamic company. This is a mid-level position and is well suited to an individual who is looking to advance their career. The Commercial Insurance CSR would be primarily responsible for the ongoing service of commercial clients, new and renewal clients, and maintaining a relationship with the Account Manager and Producer to support business development activities while upholding high service standards. These duties include a proficient knowledge of AMS360.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn/be knowledgeable of and implement agency and company procedures.
  • Process policy change requests, client payments as directed by the account manager.
  • Process new/renewal and cancellation downloads.
  • Gather client information for supplemental applications and determine acceptability and placement for new or rewrite business or other carrier needs.
  • Quote and present proposal to producer or account manager.
  • Process client payments, cancellation, and new/rewrite downloads.
  • Maintain cancellation reports and handle claims entry.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 years of related Commercial Lines experience, a high school diploma, and a current Property and Casualty broker’s license is required. VA preferred.
  • Requires Intermediate proficiency with AMS360, MS Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, Adobe, and DocuSign.
  • Mid-level experience with Direct Bill, Policy Review, Restaurants, Contractors, Manufacturers, Certificates and EOP’s, Quoting and Rating, Retail Storefronts. Property, Casualty/General Liability, Small Business/BOP, Commercial, Umbrella, and Workers’ Compensation coverage knowledge required.
  • CISR, CIC and/or CRM preferred.
  • Customer oriented, detailed, motivated team player with effective communication skills who enjoys relationship building and exercises good judgement with ability to take initiative and make decisions.
