Job description

The ideal candidate shall be responsible for the operation of a concrete line pump, driving a company truck to and from the job site, and keeping the equipment clean and in good operating condition. The candidate is expected to be a good representative of the company and must have the ability to relate with customers in a professional, responsible manner. Because of the variable schedule of the customers that we serve, the candidate has to be flexible with last minute changes and expect some travel and/or overnight stays. Hours will vary. This position requires a candidate with a strong work ethic. Some heavy lifting is required. Experience a plus but not required. Will train the right candidate. Qualifications & Essential Functions

• Will be required to join the Operating Engineers Local 3
• Class C license required with good driving record. Have a reliable means of transportation
• Must be able to perform simple math such as addition and subtraction. Trustworthy when handling cash transactions.
• Punctual and consistent attendance and arrivals to work. Ability to work Saturdays and overtime as requested to meet client demands.
• Ability to utilize GPS or map book to take the most direct/safest route to jobsite to ensure on time service.
• Safely and professionally drives pickup truck with concrete pump into site and works with contractor, field supervisor or homeowner to set up pump in a safe position.
• Pump concrete to customer satisfaction meeting the Company’s quality standards.
• Communicate regularly with Company dispatcher as to the status of projects via radio or cellular phone.
• Prior to leaving jobsite, Pump Operator is responsible for completing all paperwork and collection of monies if necessary.
• Check in with dispatcher and/or supervisor at the end of the day and each morning to verify production schedule and start times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $29.00 per hour
