Job Placement Ad:

• Position: Registered Nurse - Critical Care Float
• Unit: Float Pool
• Specialty: Critical Care
• Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Job Duration: 13 weeks (renewable contract)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in critical care units, including but not limited to ICU, CCU, and ED, as assigned and based on patient needs.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients' condition, vital signs, and response to treatments.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide interventions as ordered by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments, care provided, and outcomes achieved.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, conferences, and meetings to coordinate patient care and ensure quality outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide patient education, support, and coordination of care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and integrity in all aspects of nursing practice.

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Rhode Island.
• Minimum of 1 - 2 years of recent experience in critical care nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30) and adapt to varying unit assignments.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of current evidence-based practices and guidelines in critical care nursing.
• Ability to maintain composure and provide quality care in high-stress situations.
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed).
