Job Placement Ad:
- Position: Registered Nurse - Critical Care Float
- Unit: Float Pool
- Specialty: Critical Care
- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Job Duration: 13 weeks (renewable contract)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in critical care units, including but not limited to ICU, CCU, and ED, as assigned and based on patient needs.
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients' condition, vital signs, and response to treatments.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide interventions as ordered by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments, care provided, and outcomes achieved.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, conferences, and meetings to coordinate patient care and ensure quality outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide patient education, support, and coordination of care.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and integrity in all aspects of nursing practice.
Qualifications:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Rhode Island.- Minimum of 1 - 2 years of recent experience in critical care nursing.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Ability to work night shifts (3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30) and adapt to varying unit assignments.
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of current evidence-based practices and guidelines in critical care nursing.
- Ability to maintain composure and provide quality care in high-stress situations.
- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed).
