About the Role

The Custodian is an integral member of the on-site property management team. They are responsible for maintaining the daily cleaning of vacant and model homes, community areas, including but not limited to offices. This individual will make ready homes for resident move-ins, respond to cleaning service requests as required and inform supervisor of observed resident issues/concerns.

What you'll be doing

• Daily cleaning of community areas, including, but limited to dusting, vacuuming and sweeping to include leasing office, clubhouse, model unit, community room, interior and exterior hallways, business center, fitness center, laundry rooms and restrooms
• Respond to cleaning work orders as required.
• Keeping all stair towers, elevators, elevator lobbies, and interior/exterior building hallways clean and free of waste.
• Assisting with maintaining grounds
• Assisting in picking up grounds and trash as needed.
• Preparing vacant units for occupancy, including any necessary clean-out tasks.
• Inspecting building exteriors and reporting concerns to Maintenance Supervisor
• Ensuring the successful execution of all company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Delivering the highest level of resident satisfaction through response, consistent, positive and professional interactions.

Who We're Looking For

• High School diploma or GED
• 1 year minimum of work experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, senior management, and co-workers
• Ability to respond effectively to changing demands
• Solid customer service skills
• Possession of an active and valid driver s license is required

75080Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, machinery, equipment, supplies, and office equipment. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb ladders, balance, stoop, and kneel. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move equipment and supplies up to 50 lbs.

Typical Work Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside residential properties. May work in a maintenance/machinery environment. Frequently interacts directly with residents, maintenance and office staff.
