The Customer Service Representative would be responsible for the following:

  • Respond to inquiries, incoming mail/ e-mail, or other documentation regarding repair of customer parts or other issues
  • Provide price quotes for repair costs to existing and potential customers
  • Process quote approvals and inform shop personnel of these approvals
  • Assist shop personnel with customers’ correspondence
  • Maintain status and track progress of customer items in the repair process. Provide status reports to the customers and management as appropriate
  • Investigate and resolve variety of problems
  • Utilize computer systems to gather information, troubleshoot, track customers’ files, and maintain
  • Acts as an initial point of contact for existing and potential customers
  • Creates and updates customers’ files to ensure accurate information regarding status of parts
  • Acts as a liaison between customers and Repair/ OEM shop as needed
  • Coordinate activities with other internal departments such as production, planning, scheduling, and shipping/ receiving to meet customers’ requirements
  • records, files and documentation
  • Trains and mentor’s new customer service representatives on systems and processes
  • Able to work independently with little supervision
  • Backup for departmental reporting and metrics
  • Perform other duties or assignments as required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Effective written and verbal communications using a variety of contact methods (i.e. email, phone, fax, etc.) with external and internal customers
  • Proficiency in Computer programs and systems including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Good mobility (job requires movement between departments)
  • Detail oriented (high accuracy required)
  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a Client Service Representative preferred, but not required.
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
