Nature of Work
Provide support and direction to end users on a variety of issues including phishing, malware, and compromise remediation. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems related to cyber security. Proactively monitors alerting and end user reported events for malicious activity. Provide PC support services as directed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor security systems and identify threats in real time.
• Assist in performing risk assessments to identify and remediate threats to prevent exploitation.
• Participate in the investigation and response to security incidents and alerts.
• Remediate compromised end user systems in a timely manner.
• Assist in the implementation and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
• Assist with the annual penetration test, DR plan validation, and Incident Response Plan review.
• Basic understanding of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, malware, and attack life cycles.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats and recommend solutions to improve security posture
• Respond to email and program alerts for technical support related to malicious activity. Document, track and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
• Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent experience.

Experience
Two to five years or more of related work experience required.

Work Environment
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, residences, commercial vehicles, or outdoors, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls and observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc.
