Job description
The Centralized Administrative Services department will be responsible for processing certain customer loans, ancillary products, and dealer invoicing tasks to support other departments in the Company including but not limited to Loan Servicing, Sales, Dealer Services, Treasury, Accounting, and Legal. These tasks include the handling of nonstandard cash receipts from customers and dealers, account-level research, processing lifecycle activities for insurance products, as well as loan servicing system updates as required by various Flagship departments.
This position will supervise a team responsible for the daily processing of dealer-related transactions that are outside of normal loan origination proceeds processing (primarily dealer reserve and any other related chargebacks to the dealers) as well as a team responsible for administering and accounting for auto loan ancillary products (Flagship Dealer Services, “FDS”).
This individual will connect with teams from Servicing, Accounting, and Treasury, to ensure requests are managed appropriately, the information flow between teams is effective, and outstanding issues are resolved.
This position will be integral in establishing ongoing monitoring controls and team status tracking to ensure ongoing activities are completed timely and ad hoc requests are addressed appropriately. Additionally, in managing the areas that report to this role, they should ensure that all team members are cross-trained in responsibilities.
This position is expected to use a computerized system for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting. Must be able to multitask, be flexible to change, handle, organize and resolve constant email messages/questions throughout the day, and perform various administrative duties as assigned.
What is a day in the life at Flagship as a Manager, Dealer & Product Accounting?
- The focus of this role is to supervise and organize the team responsible for operational accounting related to maintaining customer auto loan account records and dealer balance receivable records. This role must ensure requests are processed timely and accurately, and that there is an appropriate escalation of sensitive items.
- Manage the work of the Product Accounting (Flagship Dealer Services, “FDS”) team to ensure timely, complete, and accurate processing of all responsible tasksThe FDS team performs tasks related to the Company’s ancillary auto loan products (primarily GAP and service contracts), including confirming origination activity and managing cancellations/refunds
- Oversight of the Dealer Accounting team to ensure dealer record accurately reflects the amount owed to or from Flagship’s network of dealersThe Dealer Accounting team has ownership of the dealer reserve liability and any related chargebacks
- Implement automated processes to allow for effective monitoring of and reporting on the processing of all required tasks under their responsibility
- Month-end processing done timely and accurately – dealer track, RouteOne, invoicing, updates,
- Work with multiple stakeholders (both internal and external) to ensure existing or newly created processes fulfill the operational and reporting needs of the company
- Establish process documentation around key team assignments and drive continuous process improvements
- Mentor, coach, and develop team through training and goal setting
About you:
- Required: Accounting or Finance degree or equivalent job experience
- Required: 5 or more years of experience in a similar role and at least 3 years of experience as a supervisor
- Preferred: Shaw loan servicing system, auto finance, or ancillary product experience or experience in account servicing for consumer lending
- Background in operational or business unit accounting or general ledger accounting
- Hands-on experience with creating new processes, system integration, and build out of the new team
- Maintain strict confidentiality with customer auto loan account information
- Focus on compliance with company policies and understanding of consumer compliance topics
- Independently driven and motivated to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, Excellent active listening skills
- Ability to display a high level of personal accountability and ownership for work performed
- Must be able to work under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines and goals.

- Must be able to lift packages up to 40 lbs
- Proficient in Internet search tools, e-mail, and Microsoft Office products (Shaw or similar consumer lending system experience a plus)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $129,600.00 per year
