Job description
- Prepare, pack, load and unload products on the delivery vehicle according to company’s specifications.
- Ensure that items are properly stacked and secured inside the delivery vehicle.
- Ensure that appropriate and complete documentation is available at the time of loading.
- Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes and time schedule.
- Collect items/orders from outlets or customers as assigned.
- Ensure that the delivery schedule is followed.
- Ensure that delivery receipts are signed.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Logistics and Warehouse team.
- Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods.
- Ensure that both general and preventative maintenance measures are performed on the vehicle (e.g. checking fluid levels, fuel, cleaning, etc.).
- Assist to arrange and put stock and items away in accordance with the Company’s procedures.
- Assist with the general Warehouse functions and operations.
- To perform routine and ad-hoc stock checks as required.
- Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned.
