Dental Assistant

Endodontic Specialty Office

ABOUT THE JOB:

Summit Endodontics is a brand new, state-of-the-art, privately owned, specialty dental practice in Bend, OR. We are excited to help address the need for additional endodontic support throughout Central Oregon. We are seeking a full-time dental assistant who can also jump in with front desk duties when needed. Those interested in a part-time position are encouraged to apply as well.

Position Summary:

The dental assistant will be in charge of both administrative and clinical duties including: office opening procedures, instrument tray set up and room preparation, coordination with front office on patient needs, sterilization and disinfection of instruments and surfaces, chairside assistance during endodontic procedures, and various practice support services including but not limited to, assistance with incoming phone calls, personal assistance, management of inventory, emotional support for anxious patients, and end of the day office closing procedures.

• Have experience assisting in a dental office
• Have interest in the practice of dentistry both personally and professionally
• Be dependable, attentive to detail, energetic, and friendly
• Prioritize patient rapport and outstanding customer service.

REQUIREMENTS

• Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality to HIPAA standards.
• Adhere to strict safety guidelines and procedures to OSHA and office standards.
• Must be comfortable seeing and able to maintain a professional demeanor and attitude while working around blood and unpleasant smells.
• Must be detail oriented in order to work efficiently in small spaces and maintain patient comfort.
• Must be flexible and understand that job duties may change from time to time and that this individual may be asked to assist in other areas of the office.
• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills by talking to others to convey information effectively.
• Must be willing to have CPR training

Compensation:

· 25-28$ per hour, depending on qualifications

· Paid continuing education expenses

· Workwear allowance
