What You’ll Do

As the Junior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Deploying and monitoring applications on AWS platform using AWS suite of tools and other compatible & supporting tools.
• Managing the infrastructure to support CI/CD initiatives.
• Maintaining access to tools/repository/infrastructure.
• Overseeing the planning, development, and deployment of infrastructure, tooling, and applications.
• Managing access to following applications/frameworks/tools – JIRA, Confluence, VPN, GitHUB, Slack, Okta, Figma, CircelCI, Codacy, Lucidchart and similar applications.
• Managing infrastructure related changes – any maintenance aspects such as licenses, billing etc.
• Support automation processes to move code from commit, through build and quality assurance processes, to deployment to staging environments and then to production.
• Overall design of cross-functional, multi-platform product solutions; large scale SOA web and mobile-based application systems.
• Containerization of applications (Docker preferable), understand best practices of Docker, develop reusable base images and tune Docker applications
• Real-time monitoring and alerting of applications deployed in AWS using Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail and Simple Notification Service
• Ensure that development team tooling is an enabled for the organizational agility.
• Providing helpdesk support for Windows/Mac laptops for a small work group (up to 10 people)
• Identifying opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation
• Fostering transparency and visibility and radiate information to strengthen the presence of our team within the DevOps Community of Practice

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 0-2 years of DevOps experience.
• Experience in Jenkins or another orchestration tool preferred.
• Experience in AWS infrastructure (EC2, ECS, VPC, Autoscaling, Security Groups, AWS CLI, Cloud watch).
• Experience with scripting languages (shell, bash, GO, ruby, python, etc.)
• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
