Wekiva Springs Center, in Jacksonville Florida, has an immediate opening in our dietary department. This person will be cooking for our patients as well as serving them. This is a full time position and consists of cooking, serving, cleaning, and prepping food in a commercial kitchen. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are prepared daily for the patients and any staff that choose to purchase their food. Specific menus must be followed along with accommodating special diets for our patients. Cleanliness of the dining area must also be maintained. All actions in the kitchen and dining area must be in compliance with regulations and policies of the facility.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred but not required. You must be able to obtain your Serv-Safe certification within 6 months. Must be able to effectively communicate with your peers and with the patients. Hospitality is a must and respecting those around us.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
