Job Description:

The Space Systems Sector is seeking a senior manager to lead the Telemetry and RF division in San Diego, CA. This position, reporting directly to the Sector VP of Finance, will be responsible for leading all aspects of finance for the division including program finance, pricing, financial planning and analysis, accounting and cost planning for the CAS Unit.

Essential Functions:

• Leads team of approximately 20 finance and accounting professionals. Manages leaders of Program Finance, Accounting and Pricing functions
• Supports division GM and is part of division leadership team
• Communicates within and outside of the finance organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts
• Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the short- to mid-term function or business area results
• Proactively identifies new opportunities to increase financial performance and improve processes
• Develops and drives comprehensive business plan recommendations, based on analysis, emerging trends, and experience
• Counsels business leaders, recommends approaches for executing high-level strategies and develops creative solution

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to lead multiple, large, time sensitive projects or work streams.
• Ability to identify emerging trends from market and industry data, and make clear and compelling business planning recommendations.
• Ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches and insights.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• TS/SCI clearance or ability and willingness to obtain one
• Advanced university degree (e.g.MBA) or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
• Superior business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and influence skills.
