What you will be doing
Overview:
The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for coordinating, supervising and directing all property Food & Beverage operations, while maintaining a profitable F&B department and high-quality products and service levels. He/she is expected to market ideas to promote business; reduce employee turnover; maintain revenue and payroll budgets; and meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high.
Position Description:
- Assists in menu planning and preparation of group related business.
- Ensures all brand standard training for the F&B team is completed within the required time frame as directed by the Brand.
- Works in conjunction with Remington's Corporate and Regional F&B Operations Teams to deliver consistency in the Outlets, Catering and the Corner Pantry areas within their perspective region of hotels.
- Stays aware of local market trends and introduces new Food & Beverage concepts in conjunction with regional team.
- Understand, implements and monitors brand and Remington promotions in outlets.
- Ensures that regular, on-going communication occurs in all areas of Food & Beverage (pre-meal briefings, staff meetings, culinary team).
- Maintains visibility on the floor and assists staff as needed during meal periods.
- Responds to all F&B related guest interactions including GSS/SALT and social media.
- Ensures compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations.
- Understands the EcoSure Program and is actively involved with Kitchen Inspections.
- Interviews candidates for front-of-house F&B positions and follows standards for hiring approvals.
- Ensures F&B team members are in proper uniform and adhere to the Company's grooming standards
- Assists in maintaining the operations of the employee cafeteria.
- Prior experience in Food and Beverage leadership role with proven record of success.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations as it relates to food and liquor, ensuring food and beverage staff have all been trained in responsible alcohol service.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite
- Some travel may be required
- Flexible to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
