ROLE SUMMARY:

Join our team as a Director of Food & Beverage Outlets and become one of the authors of our story. The Director of Outlets is responsible for the overall guest experience in our Clay Restaurant and Bar, as well as our Great Porch, Private Dining and In-Room Dining. The food & beverage strengths at Wildflower Farms attracts both hotel guests and local residents from the community, and it’s a vibrant extension of the overall direction of the property – giving back to the land and experiencing all the land has to offer.

As part of the Auberge family, you will immediately become part of an active community of food and beverage professionals who pride themselves on their reputation for expertise and uncompromising standards. You will be responsible for ensuring that all visitors to the restaurant and F&B outlets are delighted by the quality of service, creativity, and variety of our food and beverage offerings, and for establishing our name in the Hudson Valley.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The key responsibilities for this position are:

      Responsible for the management of all aspects of the Restaurant, Outlets (Great Porch; Private Dining; In-Room Dining) and Bar functions, in accordance with hotel standards.

        Direct and organize the day-to-day activities of the staff maintaining high standards, and service, maximizing both guest and financial results.

          Lead and analyze guest satisfaction, quality of service, sales, costs, quality and presentation of food and beverage products, service standards, condition, and cleanliness of facilities and equipment.

            Maintain the highest levels of guest service and develop a rapport with both the hotel guests and the local clientele, meeting, and greeting guests at the Restaurant, and handling guest complaints effectively and pleasantly.

              Conduct regular walkthroughs for maintenance to continuously maintain or improve the physical properties

                Lead the training and education session for all team members.

                  Manage the orders and inventory of beer, wine, liquor, and restaurant supplies for the front of the house.

                    Work with the Director to create a departmental budget, then monitor and maintain the food and beverage costs in line with budgeted and forecasted projections.

                      Maintain knowledge of trends, systems, practices, and equipment in food and beverage through trade literature, hotel shows, site visits, and monitoring local competitors to compare their operation with the hotel’s Food and Beverage operation.

                        Develop Food and Beverage goals, strategies, procedures, and policies including offering guests great value in their beverage experience, in conjunction with the Director of Restaurants.

                          Work as an active member of the management team, creating positive relationships and maintaining active involvement with all hotel operations.

                        QUALIFICATIONS:

                            Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or a related field.

                              Five or more years of operating experience in a similar capacity in a top restaurant group or luxury hotel Food & Beverage department.

                                Experience in maintaining state and federal health and safety regulations.

                                  Experience with accurately and promptly completing administrative tasks that include reporting, budgeting, project management, etc.

                                    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

                                      Ability to interact with various computer applications.

                                    Preferred Qualifications:

                                        The ability to communicate in a second language, particularly Spanish, is preferred.
