Key Accountabilities/Duties:
- Provides exceptional customer services to patients, families, referral partners and community agencies.
- Represents the hospital in promoting patient care that is consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital.
- Provides clinical direction in psychiatric and chemical dependency assessment services including evaluation, crisis intervention and referrals.
- Collaborates with Administration, Nursing, Medical Staff and Support Departments, as necessary.
- Provides clinical and administrative supervision of approximately (# A&R staff), providing prompt clinical interventions and assessments to patients in crisis. Manages daily staffing requirements for the department.
- Ensures department functions effectively at all times, managing a streamlined and efficient admissions process.
- Responsible for the management, planning and improvement processes related to meeting hospital strategic goals, within the A&R Department and as a member of the Senior Management team.

Education:
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, sociology, mental health or a related field, required.
- Licensure: LCSW or LCPC required
Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting, including psychiatric and addiction diagnosis, clinical interviewing, patient assessment and treatment planning.
- Communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
- A minimum of three (3) years of managing a professional/clinical team and responsible for staffing, budget and process improvements.
- Additional Requirements: Complete knowledge of crisis intervention techniques & successful completion of Crisis Prevention Institute (C.P.I.) training.
- CPR certification Knowledge and ability to effectively use computers, analysis programs and internet for measurement and reporting of key indicators and trends.
