Summary

Relay Graduate School of Education seeks an experienced Director, Slate Operations to help write Relay Graduate School's next chapter working with a team responsible for delivering cloud solutions that drive equity and empower the next generation of exceptional teachers, leaders, and students.

The Director, Slate Operations is a critical role that will enable Relay's digital modernization priorities. This role will set Relay's CRM vision and technical strategy across external affairs and professional education. Working with a diverse set of stakeholders that includes Relay staff, faculty, and students, the Director, Slate Operations will be accountable for cross-functional business analysis, platform management, support, training, and continual improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Slate Module Design and Implementation

  • Set the vision for the CRM module functionality that will support the work of cross functional teams (i.e, external affairs) to support best practices and provide optimal CRM functionality.
  • Design and analyze business processes to support the ability to forecast total revenue, and manage partner, donor and alumni relationships.
  • Facilitate change management of Slate Advancement module and CRM functionality driving decision making and overseeing global communication structures.
  • Manage and support the efficient end user and participant experience that facilitates Professional Education's year over year enrollment & event management.
  • Develop and manage a robust web portal for partners, students and participants that support emergent initiatives to provide a cost effective and user friendly experience.
  • Identify new system enhancements and lead configuration by gathering requirements, recommending process updates, managing test schedules, and implementation plans to support other Slate modules.

Slate Management and Maintenance

  • Develop a year over year maintenance plan and turn key trainings.
  • Manage and maintain Slate databases, ensuring they are up-to-date, secure, and perform efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other Technology Leaders to support cross system engineering enabling data migration and integration activities.
  • Stay up to date with Slate features and enhancements to offer insights on key CRM advancements to help drive the organizations functions to effectiveness and efficiency.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Provide support for other student platforms in alignment with technology goals and initiatives.

Qualifications

First and foremost, the Director, Slate Operations must share the Relay community's commitment to working together to improve student growth and achievement through phenomenal teacher preparation grounded in diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism. This includes providing teacher preparation programs that set novice teachers up to succeed in the classroom from day one; leadership programs that train new and veteran school and district leaders to best serve their school communities; and teacher-facing professional education that provides ongoing learning to educators. Additionally, for this position we're looking for candidates that possess a combination of the following skills:

Additionally, candidates for the position must have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of professional experience, CRM management & implementation experience preferred
  • Experience in higher education and/or operations.
  • Experience building Slate modules
  • A passion for building solutions that enable teams to work more effectively
  • Demonstrable experience scoping large-scale projects and successfully working across teams to execute against project plans and deliver on time, preferably on Slate platform
  • Exemplary communication skills, especially around consensus-building and stakeholder engagement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of systems technology integration, spreadsheets, and database applications, programming/scripting, HTML, XML, SQL and other web technologies
  • Ability to handle shifting priorities, and prioritize in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented environment, navigating ambiguous situations effectively
  • Experience with issue and project tracking software
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively within a team
  • Management or team lead experience
  • Knowlege of AmeriCorps business processes is a plus
  • Web development experience or knowledge is a plus
  • Authorization to work in the United States

COMPENSATION

Relay is committed to creating and maintaining a compensation and benefits system that supports our ability to recruit and retain a diverse and talented team. As we make decisions about compensation, we will be guided by the following values: clarity, consistency, and internal equity. The salary range for this role is $96,525-$135,135. New hires will be offered a salary at the starting point of the range to allow for an equitable starting salary process and continual salary growth during an employee's time at Relay GSE.

To ensure internal pay equity:

  • Relay does not currently differentiate starting salary offers based on years of experience,
  • All staff salaries will be capped at the salary range maximum, and
  • Relay does not negotiate salary offers.
