GENERAL FUNCTION
Responsible for creation, submittal, and management of design and engineering documents that will be submitted to customers during the project cycle. Ensure that these documents are accurate and maintain their quality and integrity.

JOB DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Creating submittal documents by transferring design drawings and data onto project title blocks.
  • Using customer FTP project websites to upload submittal documents and download returned documents.
  • Accountable for tracking contractor and vendor deliverables throughout the project lifecycle (recording revisions, revision purposes, distribution and transmittal histories).
  • Provide status tracking and expediting of all internal document reviews in accordance of contract requirements and schedule.
  • Communicating with vendors to get necessary drawings and data to use in submittal drawings.
  • Compiling installation, operation, and maintenance manuals for customers, including printing and assembly of hard copy binders.
  • Communicates with project engineers to ensure submittal documents meet project requirements.
  • Create Excel spreadsheets to track individual project documents and document status.
  • Ability to manage multiple documents and projects simultaneously.



QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of:
  • Terminology, methods, practices and techniques used in mechanical engineering and manufacturing.
  • 2D CAD Drafting (Experience with AutoCAD preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat



Ability to:
  • Effectively use AutoCAD and Adobe
  • Take initiative, think creatively and work independently.
  • Develop, review, and modify engineering or technical documents.
  • Manage documents for multiple projects and project managers



Experience and Education:
  • Experience with technical deliverables and document management
  • 1 year experience with 2D CAD drafting (Preferred)
  • 1 year experience within a manufacturing or design company (Preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
