Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer
Job Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Type: Full Time
Job Description: • Provide electrical and control system experience for operational system designs while maintaining schedule, cost, quality and safety standards.

• Provide the design, implementation and operation needs to fulfill the system requirements. Must be adaptable, striving to find creative solutions to problems as they arise and assist in the implementation of predictive operational plans. The individual must be able to analyze processes and system requirements, making operational improvements based on knowledge of electronics, engineering, and mechanics.
• Analyze system needs and identify shortcomings that could be opened by automation
• Troubleshooting of operational problems through hardware and software analysis
• Work with the team to develop systems while making sure that all quality and safety standards are upheld.
• Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, as their activity will require them to work with many customers and engineering firms to accomplish project and company goals.
• Must be proficient in software such as Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Must be proficient in and/or willing to learn PLC and HMI programming software such as products from Rockwell Software, Wonderware, Automation Direct, Siemens, etc.
• Candidate will develop design concepts, material selection, develop PLC code, develop HMI software, and other pertinent information required to complete the assigned activity.
• Provide engineering support to customers in the fields of gas, water, waste water, power, food and beverage, etc.
• Assist in scheduling tasks and estimate labor hours and materials costs for system design and development.

Skills / Qualifications: • Good personal computer skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Power Point)
• Possess an aggressive results-oriented work ethic as well as the flexibility and desire to learn and grow within the control engineering field.
• Desired attributes include a working knowledge of software applications such as Auto Cad, Rockwell Software, Wonderware, Automation Direct, Siemens, and others.
• SQL database experience is a plus.
