As expert you will bring a deep technical mastery of the process and equipment. That expertise allows you to lead the planning, process development and implementation of Planned Maintenance Elements in a Continuous Improvement manufacturing environment. You will manage this through teams consisting of various technical and non-technical personnel, key support contractors and operations personnel.
How you will contribute
You will:
Partner & Enable the line leader(s) to deliver the SQCDSM targets-Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability & Morale for the lines, to ensure Process stability; Participates in the DMS- Daily Management systems meetings at the shift and line level
Own the technology and process and centerline settings for the equipment and process and have deep technical mastery of the process and equipment; Owns the PM-Progressive maintenance systems and work processes and the PM-Progressive Maintenance Key Performance Indicators for the line/s along with Centerline Management systems; owns the R&M-Repairs & Maintenance budget of the line
Develop, own and execute the line/s preventive and time-based maintenance systems and plans and build capability of the team to execute themselves; Build (spends at least 50% of time) technical and maintenance skills of the technicians working in the shifts, so that they are able to operate and maintain their equipment themselves; be part of the PM Pillar, own all PM systems and work process at the line level and lead some of them at the department level
Partner with the Asset and Reliability team for system improvement and execution of special maintenance tasks; be responsible for Change Management on the line/s, localization of spares and proper break-down analysis and R&M cost reduction for the line/s; Represents the department/line/s as the site technology owner in the regional and global technology forums
Assist in VSU for the new initiatives and enable the VSU team; Help the line leader in internal and external benchmarking and reapplication; be the subject matter expert on one of the component categories and be a trainer of PM related subjects for the plant

The capability to work as the Line Leader, developing and aligning goal/master plan for the line, deploying and managing IDP for the members, coaching team members on their performance management and career development

Essential Functions
Tests, installs, and repairs plant equipment and machinery. Performs preventive maintenance and safety inspections on the equipment and machinery. Performs the required electrical maintenance repair and project installation work including but not limited to measuring, cutting, threading, bending, and installation of electrical conduit. Also, the proper application and use of appropriate conduit clamps, hangers, straps, bushings, hubs and conduit fittings. Proper application (identification and wire sizing), installation (wire pulling & termination), and use of electrical conductors as applied to required field requirements (voltages & current loads per application according to NEC). Understanding of the functioning and installation of power, control, communications circuits and motor control. Troubleshooting and repair of general electrical problems in plant electrical equipment. Understanding of the functioning and installation of power, control, and communications circuits. Repair to plant emergency lighting, area lighting fixtures, lighted exist signs, and safety signs. Documents work performed and communicates work activities to appropriate personnel. Reads, studies and reviews manuals, schematics and drawings and relevant literature to stay current on new equipment and the updating of existing equipment. Provides on-call emergency repair service for all areas of the mill. Takes work assignments from the Maintenance Reliability Planner. Consults with immediate supervisor concerning issues, unusual problems or developments and clarification on direction and scope of efforts. Follows all applicable policies and procedures, including Safety, Quality and GMP’s.
Education / Certifications:
High school diploma or GED required
At least 5 years of industrial maintenance work experience. Candidates must have documented electrical certification. Ability to work any shift, weekends, & overtime to support business needs, sometimes on short notice.
This position requires skills building in the Mechanical trades toward certificate.
Machines/equipment
Uses test instruments, programming devices, personal computers, measuring devices, hand tools, power tools. Proper use of multimeter for circuit testing reading volt, ohm, amp, and continuity as well as megger(megohmmeter) test instruments and motor MCE. Trouble shooting, adjustments, repairs on variable speed motor controllers. PLC trouble shooting, limited PLC programming.
Working conditions
Moderate exposure to dusty and dirty work conditions and seasonal weather extremes (work is both inside and outside). Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Works from ladders and elevated platforms. Climb steps, crawl over, under and into equipment as necessary to perform job duties.
Pay rate: $29.65 hourly
Schedule: From Monday to Friday. 2nd shift 3pm-11pm. Weekend work as assigned
