Reporting to the Head (Architecture), the jobholder will exploit digital technologies and transform HTX’s IT Systems and infrastructure across the Ministry of Home Affairs

Responsibilities The job-holder will be responsible for the following: •Review the current state to identify gaps and develop an actionable roadmap to achieve the target state. •Review the future state of how IT shall handle MHA’s operational processes, information, technology and application to achieve the operational objectives in phases and enable operation to execute towards MHA’s mission. •Assess alternatives and identify the best recommendation based on holistic view of cost/benefits/dependencies associated with all potential alternatives. •Provide IT technical advisory for MHA’s ICT projects. •Translate business requirements, including governance requirements, into application architecture specifications. •Possess broad and deep skills across disciplines. •Responsible for establishing the direction for the ICT architecture, standards, design and implementation approaches for the MHA’s systems.

Job requirements •A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Communications Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 3 years of experience in IT-related fields; •Applicants with prior experience in project management, Enterprise Architecture and/or Business Process Re-Engineering related jobs would be an advantage; •Able to think strategically and analyse complex technological issues to propose solutions on architectural gaps; •Possess good verbal and written communication skills; •A solid software development background and multiple industry certifications; •Experience in designing, developing and deploying large, scalable production applications on Cloud/PaaS platforms and containers such as AWS and Azure; •Working knowledge of DevSecOps software development tools and methodologies.
