JOB TITLE: Events and Marketing Director
Pay Rate: $68,000-75,000/annually
Hours: No more than 40 hrs/wk

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Marketing and Resource Development
Director collaborates closely with the Staff and with the Board of Directors, and is responsible for all fundraising and development activities to build visibility, impact, and financial resources.
This individual provides leadership and direction to direct reports and other staff on resource development and marketing efforts.
Qualifications
Work Experience o A minimum of three years of experience with progressive responsibility in fundraising is preferred o Must have experience in major gifts and individual fundraising with a proven track record of securing funds o Must have experience supervising other Resource Development staff o Lived, participated, or professional experience serving a youth supporting agency preferred
Skills o A passion and understanding of the mission, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of BGCSHC o Ability to maintain a positive, friendly, and cooperative attitude in the workplace o High ethical standards o Strong communication skills, both oral and written o Ability to maintain professional relationships with internal staff and external partners o Leadership skills, including negotiation, problem solving, and decision making o Knowledge of asset management including financial resources and property o Knowledge of the principles and practices of managing non-profit organization o Knowledge of resource development activities and sources of funding
Job Responsibilities
Resource Development o Designs, implements, and oversees a structured development plan to include all phases of fundraising, including, but not limited to the annual campaign, planned giving, major gifts, and endowment campaigns o Develops, implements, and manages an annual campaign for unrestricted gifts from individuals o Develops and oversees the Board of Directors’ and major gift solicitations o Responsible for maintaining close working relationships with funders and the agency’s Board of Directors o Identifies new corporate and private funding sources; represents agency in meetings with potential funding sources o Increase visibility of Club programs, services, and activities and maintain good public relations o Ensure ethical and appropriate administration of resources
Leadership o Establish and implement policies and procedures for all resource development functions o Prepare documentation and be the staff lead for the Board Resource
Development & Marketing Committee o Responsible for working with senior leadership and the Board of Directors to effectively promote the organization’s mission, goals, and accomplishments to donors, prospective donors, and the broader community o Provide direct supervision and guidance to the Resource Development team and ensure departmental goals are met o Work collaboratively with Operations, Finance, and Human Resources
Strategic Planning o Plan, develop, implement and evaluate the departments’ overall programs, services, and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and member’s needs and interests. o Establish annual membership goals for each program.
o Develop and implement strategies to meet membership goals. o Submit required reports and documentation as requested.
Marketing and Public Relations o Develop strategies to increase visibility of Club programs, services and activities to the community. o Submit monthly report to Director of Operations to promote programming.
Additional Responsibilities
o Adhere to organizational policies and procedures as described in the Employee
Handbook, Ethics Policy and elsewhere. o Travel between Clubs and/or the Admin Office for trainings and meetings o Ability to travel within the region o All other duties as assigned
