The Events and Partnerships Coordinator is a full-time, remote, and hourly position at the nonprofit National School Choice Awareness Foundation, Inc. The Events and Partnerships Coordinator reports to the Vice President of Events and Partnerships and is eligible to participate in the organization’s telecommuting policy and full suite of benefits.

By helping organize major events and projects focusing on K-12 educational opportunity, the candidate selected for this position will have the opportunity to change the lives of countless families while empowering students, educators, and parents by helping organize major events and projects focusing on K-12 educational opportunity. In addition, the candidate selected for this position will play a key role in advancing our organization’s goals of expanding meaningful outreach to Spanish-speaking families across the U.S.

Primary responsibilities of this position include:
● Provide administrative support to members of the Events and Partnerships Department;
o Administrative support may include video/phone meeting note taking and summarizing, information collection and tracking, data entry projects;
● Provide logistic support for team members’ attendance at external events and conferences.
o Support may include but is not limited to, expense tracking, travel coordination, conference registrations, itinerary preparation;
● Write quality event descriptions for 50+ national events for internal and external use;
● Create and maintain event web postings;
● Assist in the grant funding request process;
● Coordinate with other internal departments;
● Coordinate team calls with national organization partners;
● Facilitate the submission of department’s timesheets for approval;
● Create and assemble final event informational packets for 60+ national events;
● Assist in the coordination of event photography and videography;
● Assist in the organization of the annual partner events;
● And other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications include:
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
● Relevant professional experience working on school choice initiatives and/or in educational settings;
● Ability to travel 2-4 times a year;
● Excellent organizational skills;
● Effective project management skills;
● A willingness and ability to work independently with virtual/remote supervision; and
● Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office Suite programs and other relevant software.

Preferred qualifications include experience with the following:
● Experience with K-12 education school choice or education work environment;
● Data management software experience, e.g. Salesforce; and
● Project management software experience, e.g. Asana, Monday, Trello, etc.

The employee’s performance will be measured annually via a performance evaluation, which will consider the employee’s success at achieving the goals set forth by the employee’s supervisor, the employee’s adherence to the organization’s policies, and the employee’s contributions to the organization’s exempt charitable activities.
