Job Summary

Primarily responsible for Bermuda regulatory reporting for Transamerica Life (Bermuda) Ltd.(“ TLB ”) and all aspects of financial management for other Bermuda entities

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly/quarterly closing journals relating to policy loans, intercompany amounts and settlements, reinsurance, accruals etc.
• Run monthly commission and reinsurance reports for payments
• Monthly International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) report for actuals and forecast roll forward
• Prepare pricing file to send to third-party vendor
• Quarterly preparation of IFRS, Solvency II and capital generation results for the Bermuda entities
• Quarterly preparation and analysis of Bermuda Solvency and Capital Ratio template for TLB.
• Quarterly intercompany billing for the Bermuda entities
• Manage annual external audits and annual Bermuda regulatory filings.
• Manage annual budgeting exercise for the Bermuda entities
• Controls over entity level accounts - prepare monthly reconciliations from source systems to General ledger
• Any other tasks or projects as assigned by management
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in in Accounting or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in GL and reporting functions. Experience in Life insurance industry will be an advantage
• Good knowledge of accounting entries and Standards
• Proficient in Excel is a must
