  • Responsibilities:

    A Financial Aid IT Technical Associate – Level II typically:

    • Performs daily database transmission of federal data to the financial aid system and monitors, analyzes, and verifies data to ensure data integrity. Serves as technical expert for EdExpress and the Department of Education’s Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) website which performs a variety of functions related to tudent/award/disbursement data for Pell, Direct Loan, and TEACH programs.
    • Prepares documentation, policies, and procedures to support IT functions of office.
    • Serves as technology subject matter expert on University committees related to financial aid.
    • Develops and monitors security protocols associated with restricted access systems.
    • Writes programming and manages complex reports in EZTrieve and SQL programming languages to meet user requirements.
    • Analyzes, develops, and tests database standards and procedures, system usage and performance. Implements database to optimize data access and security.
    • Manages databases related to financial aid.
    • Serves as webmaster for the financial aid website.
    • Evaluates and modifies existing software to provide efficiency and meet compliance requirements.
    • Supervises the Laserfiche scanning process and staff.
    • Evaluates and recommends vendor-supplied software as well as office software and hardware needs.
    • Provides technical training and expertise to staff on procedural, computer, or systems issues.
    • Possesses advanced knowledge of the technical aspects of financial aid and a broad knowledge of all financial aid programs.
  • Required Qualifications:

    CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Any one or any combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the following categories:
      • College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
        • 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
        • Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
        • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
        • Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
      • Work experience in IT-related functions, such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field.
    • One (1) year experience in computer programming including website maintenance, SQL, or other related programming language.
  • Starting Salary: $3,368 /Monthly
