As this role requires close collaboration with our shared service team in Manila, the ability to work effectively across borders (with minimal travelling!) is a great asset.

Here's what you can expect to do:

• Oversee, direct and advise Philippines Center of Excellence (shared service) team in managing the day-to-day finance operations and take proactive actions to identify and resolve issues.

• Manage statutory and management reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner.

• Establish effective process and controls to ensure compliance, corporate governance and safeguard of company assets.

• Manage both internal and external accounting / tax audit coordination. Lead actions needed to address audit points.

• Oversee the establishing of finance systems and processes to support insurance programs.

• Understand business drivers behind financial performance, and . identify risks and improvement opportunities, and recommend solutions to management

• Support other SEA entities on Controllership activities.
  

Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA qualified

• In-depth accounting knowledge and experience in multinational companies (Experience in an insurance or re-insurance environment would be advantageous).

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS standards

• Able to effectively manage offshore shared services to deliver financial results

• Strong analytical skills and business acumen to understand complex issues in a matrix environment and the ability to meet commitments and deadlines within that structure

• Experienced in driving optimization and demonstrate strong system skills such as Microsoft DAX and Hyperion

• Excellent English communication skills

• Able to effectively respond and influence senior management and stakeholders

• Independent, result-oriented team player, with a can-do attitude who thrives in a fast paced and growing company
