Shift Requirements

7pm – 7am 3-4 days/week

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Position Summary
Flex Operator assists production by filling in for Floaters and/or Production Operators as needed. When not needed by production job duties will consist of helping the nozzle shop with prep work and assisting processors in daily tasks. Will be asked to assist in Mold/Version changes as needed. Complete all training in the Flex Operator matrix within one year of being placed in role, including Paulson Test.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Clean, test and assemble nozzles and nozzle blocks
  • Complete all mold change over prep work assigned
  • Assist in mold/version change overs as needed
  • Clean assigned presses and press areas daily
  • Assist in completion of FPI/SA
  • Complete Paulson training within 1 year of position being awarded
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective and safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process, proper training techniques must be followed)
  • Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; is expected to promote and sustain any and all CI/5S/STW activities
  • Read and understand all product related documents such as the product guidelines, quality alerts, safety alerts, scrap reporting, standard work documents, customer option sheets, and growth metrics along with the using first piece as a visual aid
  • Clean, trim and assemble components using hand tools and use fit, form and function as required
  • Train other employees and assist other departments as needed
  • Complete all mandatory safety training and attend all mandatory meetings
  • Maintain general housekeeping and other duties as assigned by management
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective and safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed)

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

Education Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Education Desired
High School Diploma or Equivalent

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Work Experience Required
2-5 years’ experience in industry related field
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
  • Preferred working knowledge of ORBIS production systems including the Material Handling and Production Operator positions
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Have good manual dexterity
  • Have good organizational skills
