Job Description:

L3Harris Flight Academy is an accredited flight school located within the Orlando-Sanford International Airport. We provide an excellent and rigorous flight training program for those passionate about flying and wanting to pursue a career as a professional pilot. We have a diverse student body with students from over 30 different countries enrolled in our programs. We are expanding our admissions and operations team and are hoping to find the right candidate to help us meet our department goals and objectives.

Essential Functions:

• Participates with implementation of a Safety Management System
• Assist in reviewing and analyzing incident and accident reports for the CRG base and track key performance indicators and goals
• Assist with oversight of Aviation Safety Action Program
• Review ASAP reports to coordinate/ conduct remedial training
• Reviews and analyzes incident and accident reports for the CRG base and track key performance indicators and goals
• Gathers and analyzes operational incident and accident data to develop monthly Academy safety reports
• Creates clean and concise quarterly internal safety newsletter content
• Interact professionally with airport contacts and FAA representatives if needed.
• Conducts Line Observation Safety Audits (LOSA) at the CRG base and will assist base management in upholding L3Harris standards and procedures
• Works to achieve targeted safety goals for the site
• Conducts and/or assists in compliance monitoring and completing departmental audits
• Conducts and/or assists in completing monthly safety meetings
• Updates and initiates training as needed
• Report findings to the Safety Manager

Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Associate degree, Bachelor’s preferred with at least 4-8 years of relevant job experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Problem Solving
• Previous experience in a flight training environment
• Experience with Flight Schedule Pro
• 2 years Part 141 experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Extreme attention to detail
• Ability to multitask many projects at once and disciplined to meet deadlines
• Pilot with CFI, CFII, & MEI or equivalent experience as determined by L3Harris
• Familiar with Regulatory Authority including the FA
• Ability to interact professionally with colleagues via written and verbal communications
