Great Southern Wood – Bushnell, Inc., producer of YellaWood® brand pressure-treated pine, is looking to hire Production Employees and Forklift Operators at its location in Lake Panasoffkee, Florida. Located directly off Interstate 75, the facility is just 20 miles from The Villages, 30 miles south of Ocala, and 40 miles north of Wesley Chapel.

We are looking for applicants who have a positive attitude, team mentality, high ethical standards, good judgment, and the necessary skills to produce quality work within a fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Consistently be at work and on time
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
• Be able to follow policies and procedures
• Can communicate effectively to supervisors, treating engineers, and managers
• Respond promptly to customer and plant needs through the safe and efficient unloading/unloading trucks while maintaining an organized warehouse
• Ability to read and interpret safety, maintenance, and procedure documents
• Be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Production Essential Job Functions:

• Be able to learn a multitude of board sizes and treatments
• Recognize product that is not acceptable to be shipped to a customer
• Stand for long periods of time
• Have the ability to learn computer system to be able to print orders, scan packs and create barcodes

Forklift Operator Essential Job Functions:

• Drive an industrial forklift (with up to 18,000-pound capacity) to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials
• Unload and stack material from commercial truck flatbed trailers, stages and moves material to appropriate warehouse locations
• Keep material stacked evenly, safely and in an organized manner
• Assist in housekeeping and clean-up activities as needed
• Inventories finished goods materials

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Basic math: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Forklift Certification (Preferred)
