Job Responsibilities of a Front Desk Agent
The job responsibilities of a front desk agent include providing customer service to the guests and answering their queries. The other responsibilities of a front desk agent include:
- Providing information about the hotels to the customers or guests and providing them with detailed information about the charges for various provided services
- Educating the customers with different local features such as shopping, dining, recreational destinations, and nightlife
- Answering the phone inquiries and greeting the guests .
- Confirming the arrivals and departures of the customers and keeping a track of how many keys have been released for each customer
- Handling the reservations made via Internet of phone and accepting the post payment before actually confirming the reservation
- Effectively coordinating all the departments including the management, accounts, housekeeping,
- Resolving any problem regarding the customer accommodation and trying to resolve it before engaging a manager for assistance
- Responsible for collecting payments for both room rental and miscellaneous.
- Responsible for performing inhouse sales
