We are excited to announce an opening for a Front Desk Gym Receptionist at our fitness center at Penn Club of New York!
As a Front Desk Gym Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our members and visitors, greeting them with a warm and friendly welcome and providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, managing locker keys, washing and folding towels and assisting with various administrative tasks.
We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, is detail-oriented, and can work well in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in customer service, administrative assistance, or receptionist roles is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in customer service or receptionist roles is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Greet members and guests as they enter the gym and answer any questions they may have
- Handle membership sales and renewals, including processing payments and issuing membership cards
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, including membership sales and guest visits
- Respond to phone and email inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Assist members with any issues or concerns they may have
- Keep the front desk and lobby area clean and organized
- Assist the gym management with any administrative tasks as needed
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
We are looking for someone that would be able to work in the next following days:
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 1:30 pm to 9:00 pm
