As a General Maintenance Associate in our local retail store, you will work to perform routine maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores. You will following established maintenance schedules and guidelines while assisting maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Pay starts at $29.35/hour
- Must be available to work 8-hour shifts
- Monday- Friday between the hours of 6am-10pm
What are the essential functions of the General Maintenance Associate:
- Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, fencing and building facilities (e.g., bathrooms, plumbing).
- Complete work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
- Troubleshoot basic problems with equipment where the repair is visible or obvious.
- Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment.

General Maintenance Associate Position Requirements:
- 1 year of experience repairing/maintaining mechanical or electrical equipment in an industrial (preferred)
- Willing and able to work with substances that require special handling
- Capable of moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in various temperatures
- Move through narrow, enclosed, or elevated spaces
- Work in areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection
