Role
We are seeking a Senior Leader for HP's Global University Hiring Program. Based in the U.S., this position reports into the Global Head of Talent within the Global Recruiting and Onboarding Organization (GRO).
The Global University Hiring Leader leads teams of recruiters and university program managers to continue to build a world-class university hiring machine for HP. HP hires ~2000 interns and graduates in 40 countries around the world every year and is seen in the industry as a best-in-class intern and graduate hiring program.
Responsibilities
- Lead recruiting teams to identify and cultivate relationships with key universities to help drive student attraction to HP’s program
- Provide senior level advice to recruiting teams, leadership, People Org partners and businesses/hiring managers on the university landscape and hiring process
- Manage global reporting and communications to key stakeholders including HR partners
- Lead HP Grad Network initiative to prioritize retention of graduate talent globally
- Drive continued results for increased diverse hiring of interns and graduates globally
- Partner with university and diversity teams to support and organize HP’s university representation at diversity recruiting events – including at HBCUs, SWE, SHPE, NSBE, etc.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and key leaders within HP’s business units and regions
- Understand and oversee the beginning to end recruiting and sourcing university processes; troubleshoot and manage any escalations to senior management.
Education and Experience Required:
- First level university degree; advanced university degree preferred
- Typically 10-15 years of related experience
- Previous experience as a university recruiter required
- Previous experience as a people leader required
To land this role, you will also need to have:
- Excellent people leadership skills; finding, hiring, onboarding and retaining top recruiting and university program talent
- Strong project management skills
- Experience successfully leading projects with a global scope
- Demonstrated communication skills at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
- Experience executing recruiting programs in multiple businesses in which HP competes for talent
- Good relationship management skills
- Organizational skills and a bias for action
- Ability to coordinate initiatives, liaising with stakeholders at all levels
- Adaptability and ability to perform well in a changing environment
