Four brands. One designer. (Well, two, but we’re looking for the second. Is it you?)The Graphic Designer will create marketing materials to support all four of our restaurant concepts, executing across email, print, POP, web, direct mail, social, outdoor, broadcast and more. We’re looking for someone with good branding, typography and layout chops, and digital experience is a must. Those like-worthy, traffic-driving Facebook vids don’t create themselves.
If you’ve been intrigued by in-house work but are apprehensive about losing agency variety, you might have just found your holy grail. Each of our restaurant concepts has a distinctive brand, so you’ll be switching from Trade Gothic to Helvetica to Rockwell in a day’s time. And oh, the Pantone places we’ll go!
- Be the point-person on all digital projects, including but not limited to, website design, social media content,
o You’ll have the opportunity to work with in-house IT and development team or outside vendors, learning
to facilitate design conversations with back-end dev when needed.
o You’ll get to work with project managers to create social content both planned in advance and on the fly.
- Be proactive about your content ideas. See a trend on your Insta feed? Make it work for our business and pitch
strategy.
- Be a team player: you’ll work alongside the creative team to deliver work that’s visually impactful and
- Here comes another fun part: you get to be a part of marketing department planning sessions to contribute to
o Here, you’ll get to throw out all those whacky ideas you’ve been dreaming up and contribute strategically
to the long-term vision of the brand
o You’ll get a good handle on all our brands, the competitive landscape in which they play, and use your
smarts on consumer/industry design trends to land on great ideas to pursue and blow out
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and adapt quickly to tight timelines.
- 3 years of design experience in a fast-paced agency or in-house creative setting. Portfolio must demonstrate
- Flexible design styles. We have distinct styles and guidelines for our four brands, and candidate must be able to
Seafood, Bristol Seafood Grill, Devon Seafood + Steak.
- Strong digital design skills, including GIF and video animation capabilities, website design + interest in dev
- Awareness/usage of current trends, pop culture, social media … bonus points if you school us on them.
- Strong background and skills in design-specific disciplines, including branding + logos, typography and layout.
- Ability to respond effectively and appropriately to creative feedback and direction.
- Ability to sustain professional demeanor despite unscheduled work, revisions and short timetables. Stuff
- Proactive, resourceful and can get going on a project with little to no direction when necessary. Must be
provide the resources necessary.
- Collaborative by nature but also able to roll solo when necessary.
- We’d love it if you loved food. We don’t care if it’s pizza rolls or steak tartare.
- Experience in hospitality industry not required, but would be awesome.
- Expert knowledge in all design related software (Adobe Suite required – including After Effects or similar video
- Organized file creation in order to share among designers
- Occasional travel involved.
