Guest Service Agent / Front Desk Agent

Looking for a fun and exciting opportunity to engage with guests of a luxury, boutique inn and world-class marina?! Boston Yacht Haven Inn & Marina is currently seeking a full-time Guest Service Agent. Possessing an upbeat and positive attitude and having the ability to multi-task, and work effectively with a small team to get the job done is paramount. We wear many hats with one common goal – to exceed our guests’ expectations.

Responsibilities of the Guest Service Agent are as follows:
Maintaining and promoting hospitality at all times.

Checking in and out guests from the inn and the marina software.

Providing restaurant recommendations and concierge services to all guests.

Fielding reservation enquiries and making reservations.

Answering phones and responding to emails with upbeat and friendly communication.

Assisting guests on the marina docks, in the inn rooms, and in the offices.

Welcoming and serving both inn and marina guests in a courteous, efficient and friendly manner, both face-to-face and on the phone; and ensuring guest needs are being met during their stay.

Handling and processing a variety of payment methods.

Maintaining the freshness and cleanliness of our work environment at all times.

Must exercise sound, professional judgment and have the ability to work independently.

Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) and ability to read, speak and write English is required. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Must be a multi-tasker and a team player to assist other employees in providing a first-class experience for our guests.

Candidates must be proficient In Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.

Ability to push, lift and pull up to 25 lbs.

Other duties as assigned by management.

The ideal candidate comes with 2 or more years’ experience in a customer service role. Having an interest in boating/yachting is a huge plus. Ability to work holidays and weekends is necessary. Flexibility is a plus. Full training is provided.

Boston Yacht Haven is an award-winning, boutique inn that features 10 newly renovated guest suites with all the amenities of a world-class destination in a stunning location on the Waterfront of Boston’s North End, or “Little Italy.” In addition to the inn, Boston Yacht Haven features a marina with 100 deep-water slips that can accommodate vessels up to 400 feet in length. Our Guest Service Agents provide hospitality for all of our guests equally.
