Watch your clientele GROW with the proven methodology that we are implementing with the assistance of a consulting group in a high traffic location in Woodland Park. Look Great Everyday Salon is located in the Safeway shopping center right next door to Safeway itself. This is a prime business location that offers massive exposure to new clients. The salon runs multiple campaigns and performs weekly advertising to help build the stylists’ clientele.

We are offering a SLIDING commission scale of up to 52% with a base wage of $15.00 per hour. This stylist will be paid based on whichever amount is greater.

Job brief

We are looking for an experienced Hair Stylist/Colorist to create flawless looks for our customers. This is an employment opportunity.

Hair Stylist responsibilities include confident consultations, expert hair cutting, experience in the latest coloring techniques, formulating hair color, ability to diagnose and treat hair’s condition, blow-drying/styling skills, home recommendations for hair care and styling.

Existing clientele a plus, but not a must.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and identify their preferences with a thorough consultation.
• Recommend hairstyles and/or color according to customers’ face shape, skin tone, lifestyle, and tastes.
• Shampoo, condition, and style clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos, conditioners and styling products while recommending at-home care.
• Cut hair using professional tools and equipment with the latest techniques.
• Understanding and ability to use a wide range of hair coloring techniques.
• Diagnose and apply appropriate hair treatment products, as needed.
• Manage bookings and serve walk-ins.
• Ensure tidiness of service stations, sterilize tools, and general situational awareness of the whole salon.
• Diagnose client’s hair needs and sell hair care products or services necessary to fit the need.
• We work well together as a team. We are looking for a team-minded person to work with us.

Requirements and skills

• At least three years of work experience as a Hair Stylist and Colorist.
• Proficiency in hair styling.
• Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques.
• Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts, suitable for all hair lengths, textures, and lifestyles.
• Up to date with industry trends.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Physical stamina to stand for long hours.
• Flexibility to work in shifts.
• Valid Colorado state license from a cosmetology school.
