The Head of Security Coordination and Response is responsible for a broad range of functions within the North American security organization.

What you will do

Strategy development and execution

The Head of Security Coordination and Response will lead development of the strategy for North America Security, ensuring it is aligned with and directly supporting the market area strategy, and corporate security strategies. They will develop tactical plans, and drive and track their execution.

The Head of Security Coordination and Response will be responsible for leading the development and tracking of OKRs for all security organizations and ensuring overall coordination of OKRs with strategy and tactical plans.

They will have the main responsibility for continuously analyzing the national security strategies and climates of North American countries, and how security can be more effectively implemented in order to maintain our competitive edge. They will gather input from all security teams and make recommendations for ways in which Ericsson overall can continue to improve the North American market from a security perspective.

Incident Response

The Head of Security Coordination and Response will serve as the central coordination point across North America for all significant security incidents. They will develop, track, and manage the information and data flows between security functions across the organization and customers, and top-level security stakeholders. They will serve as “incident commander” (IC) and will designate alternate IC(s) when extended coverage is needed.

The Head of Security Coordination and Response will manage the post-incident lessons learned process and coordinate it with other stakeholders. They will track and report on significant trends observed in incidents.

Investigations

The Head of Security Coordination and Response will supervise security investigations. They will monitor timelines and modify processes to ensure security meets its obligation to provide reasonable, efficient, and timely results from investigations, coordinated with other investigation stakeholders. They will track and report on significant trends observed in investigations.

Analytics

The Head of Security Coordination and Response will drive an analytics-based approach to security across North America. They will develop and operationalize the ability to extract meaningful data from security systems and will work with system owners to obtain security-related data from other systems. They will develop processes for analyzing that data and using it to improve the overall approach to security, including how we train and challenge the workforce, what and how to effectively report to the executive leadership and other stakeholders, and how we can improve our systems, team, and approach to security. They will use these analytics, as well as other metrics across security, as input to the top-level security posture tracking effort. They will track and report on trends across security incidents and investigations, including response times and effectiveness, resolution times for incidents, and other relevant statistics.

Additional responsibilities

• The Head of Security Coordination and Response will vet and coordinate responses to audits and assessments for the security organization. They will be the main interface for all security governance documentation.

• They will serve as the driver of the North America Security leadership team meeting stream, coordinating topics to be discussed based on trends in security overall, and North America specifically.

• The Head of Security Coordination and Response will be the central North American coordinator for all insider threat prevention activities and requirements.

You will bring

• Bachelor degree in a related field is required

• 10 years experience preferred

• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, Privacy, Risk Management, Information-, Personnel, Physical security, Business Continuity, incident response, and Crisis Management

• Business Understanding

• Change and Improvement Management Skills

• Risk Management Skills
