Job Overview:

Responsibilities include oversight of the development and implementation of training and onboarding of new and current staff. Support development of high-performing workforce by training, coaching and mentoring staff on electronic systems used in the clinics. Expected to develop, implement and assess staff workflow. The Health Care Applications Analyst reports to the Business Analyst.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and conduct EHR and PM (and other applicable software) training for all new users and refresher training sessions for all current users
• Oversee administrative and clinical support staff’s on-boarding and education for applicable electronic systems
• Provide classroom and/or one-on-one instruction for new employees on company data protection policies, clinical practice processes/workflows utilizing applicable systems
• Conduct developmental and refresher training for existing staff to implement process changes, correct deficiencies and improve individual performance
• Create and maintain training materials, including testing materials and user guides
• Provide support for optimizing Health Information Technology (HIT) data systems by identifying and resolving technical and operational systems issues
• Analyze organizational processes and develop communication and training plans for efficient clinical patient flow
• Work with clinic staff to standardized workflows and policies and procedures for all clinical areas
• Perform pre and post update testing and work with clinical staff to aid in testing of new updates to the EHR system. Identify and resolve any issues
• Maintain and document all changes to templates and documents (including chart notes) in the HIT data system
• Provide Level 2 help desk support for EPIC issues

• Direct Reports: Responsible for the oversight of new and current employees during training and onboarding Other duties as assigned

Skills:

• Utilize effective techniques to coach and mentor staff
• Excellent verbal, and written communication and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of EHR systems, including other electronic systems a must
• Self-motivated, highly organized, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deliverables, while still working effectively as part of a collaborative team
• Experience working in provider relations is strongly preferred
• Comfortable with public speaking and delivering presentations
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
• EHR certifications, membership/certification in healthcare clinical practice leadership professional organization, IT Certifications

Experience:

• Proven knowledge of EHR system functionality and workflow required
• Demonstrated understanding of training concepts and principles of adult learning
• Demonstrated ability to convert abstract ideas into concrete solutions, and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Business, Technology or related field. In lieu of degree, a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
• Preferred minimum three (3) years’ experience in technical training capacity

Salary:

• Commensurate with education and experience
• Grade 18
