Our IAES East Radiological Control team is seeking a dynamic Health Physicist who has the ability to support oversight and implementation of the CPCCo radiation protection program. A day in the life of a Health Physicist involves the following:
- Provide technical support and radiological expertise to the IAES East area Radiological Protection Organization, by maintaining compliance with facility procedures, Radiological Control Manual, and 10CFR835 regulatory requirements.
- Apply radiological design criteria and optimization methodology into standardized As Low As Reasonably Achievable and radiological work planning, radiological engineering, and design input for multiple operations and maintenance activities.
- Provide radiological work planning support in the development of technical work document (TWD) by analyzing radiological hazards and having required radiological controls incorporated in the TWD.
- Performs work in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner.
- Maintain programmatic elements at the IAES East Facilities.
Basic Qualifications
* U.S. Citizen.
- Career Level Grade 18: BA/BS degree in a scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus 6 years of relevant experience.
- Senior Level Grade 20: BA/BS degree in a scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus 10 years of relevant experience.
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
* American Board of Health Physics certification or member of the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists (NRRPT) Certification.
- Experience in Radiological Work Planning including experience with radiological D&D work.
- Proficient in Monte Carlo Neutron Photon and Micro Shield.
- 3 years of DOE Radiological Control Experience.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
- Career Level Grade 18: $101,525 - $128,075.
- Senior Level Grade 20: $122,813 - $154,838.
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
