This is an full time (0.8 - 1.0 Status), day shift Registered Nurse position in the Heart & Vascular Cath Lab.

The RN coordinates all patient care activities in the Heart Center Cath Lab. The nursing process is used in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of cardiology patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to Cardiology patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, mentor and positive role model for assistive personnel. Knowledge of cardiovascular clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions and pharmacological agents is essential. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment requiring strong cardiovascular clinical and assessment skills.

Minimum Required: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Licensed or eligible for Licensure in state of Montana as a Registered Nurse. The RN must be knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, cardiovascular disease processes, interventions and pharmacological agents. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment requiring strong cardiovascular clinical and assessment skills. Current Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS required upon hire. Must be proficient in English. Proficiency in English, verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required. Must cross train to all areas of the Heart Center. Call rotation required for Cardiac Cath Lab.

Preferred / Desired: BSN preferred. Four (4+) plus year recent Cath lab experience preferred. Cardiovascular, critical care, or emergency nursing experience preferred.

On Call / Weekend Requirements: Call and rotating weekend call.

Experience

Required
  • Cardiovascular, critical care, or emergency nursing experience.
  • 3 year(s): Cath lab experience.
